The complete visual system Pastor Drew selected: the logo, the full color palette, and the typography. This is the source of truth for anything built under the brand.

The sun rising over an open Bible, in the brand’s amber and cedar. The exact icon is being finalized — a few directions are in front of Pastor Drew right now (see Needs Pastor Drew Review in the menu). Keep clear space around the mark equal to the height of the sun; don’t recolor, rotate, or stretch it.

Daybreak Disciple helps everyday men follow Jesus every single day — clean, highly readable body text that stays comfortable at any size, on any screen.

This is body copy as readers will see it. Ink on cream at a comfortable measure, with generous line height. Emphasis uses semibold weight, and links use clay, never color alone — always with an underline or clear affordance.

What Daybreak Disciple is for
Pastor Drew gave his whole heart in the survey. Here is what we heard — his words kept exactly, with our reading of them alongside.
A mission statement — our synthesis of his words
Daybreak Disciple exists to help everyday Christians learn to follow Jesus every single day — not just on Sunday. It’s for the man who calls himself a believer but hasn’t yet seen how his faith touches his work, his marriage, and his fatherhood. Through daily spiritual disciplines — practiced like training, rooted entirely in Scripture, and free of politics — it helps him put down roots that last: growing in strength and depth, finding joy in the everyday, and discipling others to do the same.

Six threads we’re holding onto
Training, not decoration
Spiritual disciplines practiced like physical ones — you see the fruit the way you see progress in a sport, or in the mirror. Body and soul, trained together on purpose.
Roots, not experiences
The problem you named: the Sunday product and the camp high that dies by Tuesday. The whole point is depth that lasts every day of the week.
Strong and tender, together
The voice of a mentor, a coach, a father — the one who tells you the truth no matter how hard, and who would do anything for you. Grace and truth. Justice and mercy.
Heritage and depth
Augustine, Wesley, Sproul, Billy Graham. Theology-driven, not trend-driven. Practical because the thinking underneath it is clear.
Multiplication, not a stage
Each disciple sets the example for the next. Not a guru platform — a chain of people learning to walk with Jesus and teaching others to do the same.
Joy and fullness
Underneath the discipline is the payoff: life to the fullest, more joy in the little things, a renewed passion for Jesus.
His heart — why it matters
“My goal here is to help every day people learn what it means to follow Jesus every single day not just on Sunday. Like the parable of the sower a seed can be planted and grow, but if it doesn’t have a root, it won’t last.”
The one man it’s for
“A stereotypical man whose wife goes to church, but he doesn’t see the value… Christianity especially the church feels lifeless to him. He doesn’t see the practical value in it. I want that man to see that his everyday life can be so much more when he’s following Jesus.”
What a normal day looks like
“As they practice the disciplines, they will see the fruit just like when you practice a sport you see your improvement… Much like losing weight and looking in the mirror.”
A year in — how his daily life is different

- 2A praying man — ideally three times a day, leading his wife and children in prayer.
- 3Engaged in the local church — using his gifts and hands to bless his community, part of a whole.
- 4Freer — less anxious, less angry, less gripped by lust and greed; more joy in small things.
- 5Physically alive — training his body and his hands as a blessing, to serve those around him.
- 6Discipling others — passing all of it on to the next person.

The tone
“It should sound like a mentor or a coach or a father. It would be encouraging yet clear and direct… Ideally, it’s the perfect balance between Grace and truth. Justice and mercy.”
Non-negotiable
“We must always be true to scripture… God’s word must have the final say it can never be compromised. It should be balanced, clear, approachable, confident, and uncompromising.”
His closing prayer over it
“I want it to be a great blessing to everyone who interacts with it — may Jesus be lifted up, may God the Father be honored, and the Holy Spirit’s power be evident.”
How we got the look
The directions we explored
Four visual directions were explored, each a warm relative of the Surprise Christian Church sunrise. Pastor Drew chose Sunrise Walk.
Surprise Christian Church is the sunrise. Daybreak Disciple is the daily walk the sunrise is for — a recognizable relative, not a twin.
The voice
Mentor, coach, father. Encouraging yet clear and direct — the person who’ll tell you the truth no matter how hard, and would do anything for you. Warm firmness: grace and truth. Never insulting; sometimes challenging.
The guardrails
Entirely Scripture-based; God’s Word has the final say. Explicitly apolitical — no drift left, no obsession right. Taken seriously, never a joke; integrity over money and clicks.

Four visual directions
Each kept a family tie to SCC’s warmth while giving the brand its own footing. Sunrise Walk won — it’s the look this whole site now wears.
Sunrise Walk
Gentle, devotional, editorial warmth — cedar green with amber light on cream. The look this whole site is dressed in, and the one Pastor Drew chose. Warm and hopeful, unmistakably a relative of the SCC sunrise.

Daybreak Disciple is an endorsed relative of SCC’s identity. This is SCC’s own finished brand system — a separate brand, shown here for context and because its warmth shaped the Daybreak Disciple look.

A note on the earlier name
“Daily Disciple” was a previous working concept — never launched.
Early in this process the platform was sketched under the working name “Daily Disciple.” It was never launched, published, or used commercially. Because that name is already widely used by others, it was retired in favor of Daybreak Disciple. Any earlier “Daily Disciple” references in these documents are historical — kept only to show how the idea developed, and not a claim to that name.
